Jenn is really the one for words. When I have a thought or inspiration worth writing about, its usually fleeting and most of the times only makes sense to myself. I don't have that talent to make the words flow and easy to read, but rather more like my own little 'life twitter'.
More and more I realize that as a photographer, you should never stop shooting. Even if it's just on your way to work or a trip to the grocery store, bring that camera with you. There's never a lack of new material, especially if your serious about the craft. It's a never ending life long pursuit and there's always something you could come away with. Be it a recycle bin full of crap or that one shot that really surprised you, there is a great picture everywhere you look and just need to keep your eyes and mind open.
Context can be frustrating though. Without it, one can easily lose track of the inspiration that drives us forward. To continue to go out and keep shooting without any clear idea of what your shooting gets unnerving after awhile. You start questioning yourself, whether your work is any good, what kind of photographer you want to be. - Your NICHE! - I can't say I've found mine yet, that one thing that screams out to me, "TAKE MY PICTURE!"
Has anyone of you fellow deviants had this feeling, and what was your approach to finding your niche?
anyway, that's way more than 140 characters
